When you make an investment in a spa, you probably hope that it will last several years without any problems. However, you may, at one time or another, require some warranty work. In order to make sure this work will be covered, you should examine the warranty closely prior to purchase. Compare the manufacturers' warranties as you shop. Determine if the warranty is pro-rated. A pro-rated warranty will cover more in the early years of ownership and progressively less the longer you own the spa. You will want the longest warranty possible. Find out if there is a minimum labor warranty. Labor can be expensive. Verify who will perform the work. Is it done by the company, or will they use a sub-contractor? If possible, you'll want someone from the manufacturer to perform the work. How well a manufacturer stands behind their product will go a long way in making your ownership of a spa easier.
