Many brides wonder if it's appropriate to wear white for a second wedding. They may want to know if it's okay to choose elaborate gowns for their bridesmaids. The vast majority of experts say yes. It's up to you how formal a wedding you wish to plan, though for practical reasons, many second-time brides go with a simpler look. Usually, she skips the dramatic touches like a long formal train, choosing instead a basic headpiece. A small veil is fine. The groom can wear a tuxedo, and the wedding party and guests may dress as fits the occasion. About the only thing that's considered undesirable is making the second wedding too much like your first one. After all, you're starting a new life, so why not create new memories? For your second celebration, it's best to go with a different theme, colors, and style of gown than you selected previously. If you're having some of the same bridesmaids, don't ask them to wear the same dresses. Choose something new, or let them pick out their own dress, in a certain color family.
