An undercover sting at two York County parks revealed that dozens of men are meeting to engage in sexual activities in the woods.

York County Commissioners announced Wednesday that they have arrested 81 men who were allegedly caught soliciting sex from undercover park rangers.

For the last two months the York County Parks Department has been investigating activity at
William H. Kain County Park in Springfield Township and Rocky Ridge State Park in Springettsbury Township.

"We'd see someone come into the park, we'd follow them down into the trail and then they'd approach us and ask what we'd like to do," said Park Ranger Gerald Ford. "They may expose themselves or grab you in your private area."

County commissioners call it a lewd and sophisticated network where dozens of men use internet sites like Craigslist and other means to engage in consensual sex acts. Park Official tell CBS 21 News that there was never any money exchanged in the process.

The arrest list include men ranging in age from 23-years-old to 87-years-old.

"The first question [they ask] is will my name be in the paper, the second question is I don't want my wife to find out, the third thing is please let me go I'm having a heart attack.

Park officials said though they have received complaints of suspicious behavior, they have not been contacted by park-goers who have witnessed explicit acts.

"We are dealing with families here and our underlying concern was, while this activity is taking place between two consensual adults, we have a lot of public activity in parks and I wouldn't want my kids happening on something like this," said Commissioner Chris Reilly.

The County announced it decided to go public with its investigation because after initial arrests the incidents increased.

"The message that I want to give people that are coming to the parks for illegal activities it will not be tolerated," said Tammy Klunck, Assistant Park Director.

The men have been charged with disorderly conduct. The arrest have resulted in 58 convictions and guilty pleas. The charge comes with up to $600 in fines.

Police have made arrest for similar activity in other parts of the county, including Gifford Pinchot State Park, West Manchester Mall and the Galleria Mall.
