Cumberland County Coroner investigating suspicious death at Holy Spirit Hospital
The Cumberland County Coroners Office is investigating a death that happened last Thursday at Holy Spirit hospital. The death is being called "suspicious".
A Holy Spirit spokesperson tells CBS 21 News that the coroners office is looking into the death of a female patient. Because of patient privacy laws, they couldn't go into further details.
Holy Spirit says it is cooperating with authorities. Charles Hall with the Cumberland County Coroner's office tells us the woman died on Thursday sometime before 5:30 a.m. He says the hospital then called the coroner.
Hall says an autopsy has been completed and officials are waiting for pathology and toxicology reports, but those reports could take up to two months.
