Sue Paterno's lawyers will be releasing their review of the Freeh report this Sunday, it'll also include their accessment of her late husband's actions.
On Friday, a letter Sue paterno wrote to Penn State Football players, was posted online. In it, she says she and her lawyers are getting to the bottom of the allegations made against her late husband. "All that we want, and what I believe we owe the victims, Joe Paterno and everyone who cares about Penn State, is the full record of what happened."
To get to the bottom of things, Paterno hired a lawfirm out of Washington D.C, to review the Freeh report and Joe's actions. Sue says the report will show that the experts confirm her beliefs about Joe's conduct
The Freeh report, which was released last July, outlined what the univeristy and its leaders did wrong to allegedly cover up Jerry Sandusky's sex acts with children.
In her letter Sue says the report was wrong. "I did not recognize the man Mr. Freeh described. I am here to tell you Mr. Freeh could not have been more wrong in his assessment of Joe. " She goes on to say, in the letter, "Never, not once did I see (Joe) compromise his principles or twist the truth to avoid bad publicity or protect his reputation."
After hearing about this letter, some people say Sue Paterno is wasting her time and her money.
Paula Armes, a New Cumberland resident and Penn State alumnus says she doesn't think the report by the Paterno family will change much. "You know, I think people believe what they're going to believe. I don't think it's going to make much of a difference either way. I think you have people who believe in Joe Pa's legacy and that he stood for everything and that he didn't know anything. And then you have your others"
" I just think she should let it go, it's over, it's done with. Let it go," said Mechanicsburg resident Bill Cook.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Sue Paterno is defending her late husband as a "moral, disciplined" man who never twisted the truth to avoid bad publicity.
The wife of the former Penn State coach is fighting back against the accusations against Joe Paterno that followed the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Her campaign starts with a letter sent Friday to former Penn State players.
She wrote that the family's exhaustive response to former FBI director Louis Freeh's report for the university on the Sandusky child sex abuse case will officially be released to the public at 9 a.m. Sunday on paterno.com.
Freeh in July accused Joe Paterno of covering up allegations against Sandusky, a retired assistant coach. Sandusky was convicted of abuse last year and the NCAA later levied heavy sanctions against Penn State.
Sue Paterno told former players the family's report is a passionate critique of Freeh's findings, which it calls a "disservice" to Sandusky's victims.
