It's been 7 months since Kortne Stouffer of Lebanon County went missing and CBS 21 News has learned that a local man may have a huge lead in the case.

The picture in the upper left of this article has been circulating on facebook and in the Palmyra community. Kortne's dad says a bounty hunter has been handing it out, saying he believes he can help police solve the case.

The sketch is of a man he believes is responsible for her disappearance and the disappearance of many other women from Fort Bragg North Carolina to Fort Indiantown Gap.

CBS 21 News contacted the Lebanon County District Attorney David Arnold about this possible new lead. He says, "We are aware of the (facebook) post and its author. It is not being circulated by law enforcement."

At 21-years old, Kortne Stouffer vanished from her Palmyra apartment July 29th. A police officer was one of the last people to see her, when he arrived there for a disturbance call around 3:00am. He returned for another call, knocked on the door but no one answered.

Police questioned the man who stayed the night with Kortne. He told them he didn't see her when he left that morning. Detectives investigated but came up empty. Her parents and the community also searched for Kortne, but she was gone. Seven months had passed and the leads seemed to be vanishing as well.

The Palmyra community hopes the flyer is the big break police have been looking for. CBS 21 News tried to track down the man who's passing out the flyers but had no luck today.

If you have any information that could help police find Kortne Stouffer, you're asked to give them a call.

In Heather's case, most locals believe it was her abusive boyfriend who did away with Heather, making it totally unrelated to any of these other cases. This makes me wary of the other connections he is trying to make.

Did you know that this is the sketch that was released in Morgan Harrington's murder case in 2010? DNA collected also matched a 2005 Rape that happened in Fairfax, VA. http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2012/june/help-FBI-catch-morgan-harrington-killer/help-catch-killer-landing-page
