HARRISBURG - The Harrisburg Stampede has announced the signings of five more players, including leading tacklers Vincent Tiberi and Brian Bradford.
The team has also re-signed lineman Mark Stout and wide receiver/defensive back Jamaal Stokes.
Head coach Bernie Nowotarski says the team will sign 33 or 34 players; much less than the league limit of 45 players per roster.
That's by design, according to Nowotarski. "We just don't have enough time to fairly and properly evaluate 45 players," he said in a statement. "We want to get right down to business and be ready for opening night."
The team's home opener is March 16 at the PA Farm Show.
Harrisburg has added lineman Shaquane Madison, as well. Madison, who's 6'4" and 305 lbs., has previously played for the Johnstown Generals (UIFL) and Baltimore Saints (MAFL).
