UPDATE(2):

At the corner of College Avenue and East Prospect Street, police say around 7:30pm a man and a woman walked into the La Familia grocery store, armed with a gun and tried to rob the store. Only the person behind the counter, who they were trying to rob, had his own weapon and pulled the trigger.

He ended up shooting the woman in the back. Police say right now it appears her accomplice took off when she was shot. CBS 21 News spoke with that store employee's brother.

Pedro Leon, Victim's brother:
"We don't know the alarm just called us to know that the store is being robbed and we just got here as soon as we can from Harrisburg. (Ewa Roman): We heard someone was shot. (Pedro): "Yeah but it wasn't my brother. He's okay. Both are fine"

The entire family is still shaken up by this, they say they've never been robbed before.

Police tell CBS 21 News that they believe the man who got away, later came to York hospital to check on the woman who was shot and that's when they arrested him.

The investigation is ongoing.

Gotta love it when the thugs are victimized! The only thing I see bad with the way this worked out is is the clerk is going to have a difficult time finding a place to buy more bullets!
