A York County woman is now charged with DUI and homicide by vehicle after a car crash that killed a
20-year-old Dallastown man last year on Thanksgiving morning.

The crash happened on Interstate 83 South near the Leader Heights Exit. As a result, Zachary Sweitzer was ejected from his vehicle.

Police told CBS 21 News that the nearly year long investigation revealed that, then 19-year-old
Christina Ohl of New Freedom, had alcohol in her system and was speeding when she slammed into Sweitzer's van.

"The speed limit on that particular stretch of roadway is 25 miles per hour," said Trooper Tim Pinkerton, a spokesperson with the Pennsylvania State Police. "She had a speed of approximately 79 miles per hour.

According to court documents police also found drug paraphernalia in Ohl's car.

Sweitzer was a volunteer firefighter with the Loganville Fire Company. Fire Chief Rodney Miller told CBS 21 News that the last ten months have been hard for the fire company.

"I still miss him every time the pager goes off," said Miller. "He was outstanding and very dedicated and dependable.

Christina Ohl's charges include homicide by vehicle, DUI and controlled drug device and cosmetic act.
