Carlisle Borough decides it will continue to handle tax collection duties

In Cumberland County, it looks like Carlisle's taxes will be handled by the Borough at least for now.

The controversy started when the former tax collector, George Hicks Junior, was let go after he was caught selling marijuana.

During Thursday night's Borough Council meeting, members decided not to take action in filling the position right away, but wait until November's election.

Three people have already filed to run for the position.
