East Pennsboro man admits to sexual relationship with 10-year-old girl

East Pennsboro Township Police in Cumberland County announced today they have arrested 63-year-old Steven Brungard for sexual crimes against a child.

According to a press release, the police department got a referral about possible sex abuse of a 10-year-old female on Monday, March 6.  Police and the Cumberland County Children and Youth started investigating.  Police say this lead to serving a search warrant on Brungard's house on East Manor Avenue.

Brungard admitted involvement with a 10-year-old female, telling police that he would videotape their encounters and pay her for sexual relations.  According to police he would pay her between $25 and $120 to model while he masturbated and engage in oral sex.  He also admitted to videotaping her while she used the bathroom without her knowing.

Brungard faces several charges, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and possession of child pornography.  He was arraigned before District Judge Richard Dougherty, who denied him bail. 

Brungard is in Cumberland County Prison waiting for a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 25th.
