Girl Scout cookie thief facing more charges
A Cumberland County man arrested earlier this week for stealing money from the Girl Scouts is now facing more charges.
Jevon Michael Avis, 31, of Carlisle is facing charges for a purse theft.
Police say an Upper Allen Township woman had her purse stolen while shopping at a local Giant supermarket.
Avis was identified as the person who committed this theft, and other similar thefts.
Avis was arraigned and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11.
Police urge shoppers to be cautious with personal belongings.
