Harrisburg's finest, along with members of the community, proudly accepted awards for going above and beyond the call of duty. Mayor Stephen Reed presented the awards today to more than 140 city police officers, people living in the city and public employees. The awards ranged from saving lives to helping capture criminals.
Chief Charles Kellar, whose last day on the force is December 6th, was also recognized with a special commendation by the city. Mayor Reed also issued badges to two newly named Detectives and 11 new Police Officers.
