A man was found shot to death in the driver's seat of a red coupe, parked outside of Steele Elementary School at 5th and Radnor Streets in Harrisburg, police said.

Harrisburg Police Chief Charles Kellar told CBS 21 News that the unidentified male victim, who police believe is in his 30s, was shot once in the chest through the driver's side window.

"Right now we don't have a motive," Kellar said of the incident, which happened just after 6:15 Thursday evening.

"Witnesses at the school possibly saw one, maybe two people running from the scene," Kellar said.

There were some people inside of the school at the time, but classes had long since been dismissed.

Neighbors tell CBS 21 News that the shooting was too close for comfort.

"Because we have kids who live out here and that's a problem," Trina Daniels said.  "That's a problem because anybody's kid could've been... that [bullet] could have missed that person and hit one of them."
