A Thomasville man has been arrested after he was identified as the man who stole a woman’s purse.

On December 28, a 43-year-old woman was finishing her shopping at the Spring Forge Plaza on Main Street in Spring Grove. She placed her purse in her car, closed her door and walked her shopping cart back to the cart.

As she returned to her car, another vehicle pulled up beside hers and a suspect got out, took her purse and then drove off.

The loss of the purse and its contents amounted to over $800.

However, the victim was able to get a vehicle license plate number. Officers tracked the vehicle to a Thomasville home and found the stolen items inside the vehicle.

The owner of the car was not the suspect. Recently, the suspect was identified as Tyler Livingston, 19 of Thomasville.

He has been charged with theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.
