Mayor Reed even says he's willing to fill vacant positions right away with whomever Mayor-Elect Thompson selects.
He says "Why Wait. They'll be up and running when she takes office."
Thompson has told CBS21 News that letters to potential team members would go out this week. Reed says, as of Thursday, no one from her transition team has contacted him but he's ready to help.
Mayor Reed says he sincerely wishes her well, saying that he has put his passion and life into the city so he would never wish any ill will to any Harrisburg Mayor.
Reed is not revealing his plans after he leaves office November 4th. He only says he's had many offers already. He plans to continue to serve the public but doesn't expect to stop back into politics.
