Section of Route 743 closed, but people keep missing detour signs
East Hanover Township has closed a portion of Laudermilch Road, Route 743, between Colt Drive and Dairy Lane.
The closure is part of a construction project to improve the sight distance where South Meadow Lane intersects with Route 743.
The closure started on March 18 and will continue for about three weeks.
A signed detour is in place directing motorists around the closure. The detour directs them around the closure by taking North Lingle Avenue, Gravel Road, Ridge Avenue, Gravel Hill Road and Route 22.
Though there are many signs alerting motorists to the road closure, many drivers have failed to follow them and got stuck in the area.
Please pay extra attention and be alert in the area and follow the detour signs.
