Starting Monday bridges that carry Tower Road over I-81 in Cumberland County will close for two months

PennDOT says at 7 a.m. Monday morning crews will close the bridges that carry Tower Road over I-83 In East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County.

PennDOT has contracted with a construction company of Atglen, PA to do some bridge preservation work.  Bridge preservation work will help to extend the life of the bridge, says PennDOT.

Motorists will be detoured around the closures by way of Valley Road, 1st street, Miller Street, and Belle Vista Drive.

According to PennDOT, the bridges will be closed for two months.  The project should wrap by the end of May.
