It happened around 2:30 Sunday morning. A 19-year-old woman was walking near the intersection of Ann and Mary Streets when three men walking in the opposite direction grabbed her.
The woman was pulled to the ground and her pants were pulled down. But she was able to fight back.
She struck one man and ran to her apartment where she called police. The woman was not hurt and no weapon was used.
The victim described the men to police as college age. Students on campus CBS 21 spoke to all received a notice from the university about the assault.
While they are concerned, they feel safe on campus.
“I figure it’s a college campus. Some stuff like that is probably going to happen,” student Dylan Ricker admitted. “Young people make bad decisions every now and then.”
