CBS 21 News has new information into the proposed tax increase for Lebanon City.
In a push to raise property taxes, the city's lawyer filed paperwork in Lebanon County court, asking a judge to remove the cap on raising taxes.
If a county judge agrees, city council would be allowed to raise taxes to cover the 2010 budget deficit. Homeowners could then be looking at a 35-to-41 percent property tax increase.
