The suspect in a late night homicide in Columbia has turned himself in. Mario Casanova-Lanzo, 36, of Lancaster faces burglary and homicide charges.
Police say Lanzo broke into the home of his estranged wife, shot and killed 36-year-old Parrish Thaxton of Bronx, NY in the bedroom of the home.

UPDATE: The Columbia Borough Police Department is investigating an homicide.
Police say the shooting happened around 10:15 at 224 North Third Street. When officers arrived, they found the male victim dead.
Police believe Mario Casanova-Lanzo is the suspect.
Casanova-Lanzo is not in custody, and police are still searching for him. Police believe he is armed and dangerous. They urge the public to use caution if you see him.
Do not approach him if you see him, call police immediately.

Police believe that they are searching for Mario Casanova-Lanzo, who is wanted for his role in the Columbia shooting.
They think he is driving an older model white Ford.
Casanova-Lanzo allegedly is wearing a black coat and black gloves and could be armed with a rifle.
A K-9 unit is on scene assisting police with the investigation.

Police and emergency crews are on the scene of a shooting in Columbia, Lancaster County.
The incident occurred just before 1020 p.m. in the 200 block of North Third Street.
Initial reports indicate that the victim was shot in the head and suffered serious injuries.
It is believed that the suspect is a dark-skinned Hispanic male with dreadlocks. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police do know who the suspect is.
