Harrisburg City Police say a man hit by a car early Friday morning has died.
Police say Stanley Dutterer, 73, of Hanover was crossing Cameron Street and walking towards the main entrance to the Farm Show building, when he stumbled onto the roadway from the median and fell in front of another car.
Officials say the car, driven by a 21-year-old from Hummelstown ran over Dutterer after he fell onto the road.
Dutterer was taken to Harrisburg Hospital, but did not survive his injuries.
Police say he was not using a crosswalk. Officers found Dutterer's car was found parked in a lot on the east side of Cameron Street, opposite to the Farm Show building. They say he was headed to the Farm Show to take part in a wrestling tournament taking place. Officers found officiating equipment in his carry bag.
