This hearing was with a lawyer for Sandusky and an insurance company that represents the charity the former coach founded.

A Patriot-News article says the two are arguing over the Second Mile’s insurance companies responsibility for Sandusky’s legal bills.

So far Federal Insurance Company has paid $125,000 to Joe Amendola, the former coach’s main attorney.

Sandusky founded The Second Mile as a charity for at risk youth but prosecutors now claim he used it as a way to recruit and groom his alleged victims.

The insurance company is seeking an exemption from paying Sandusky’s legal fees but would still insure the Second Mile. Sandusky has argued he should be covered in full for legal expenses under a policy that covers the charity’s directors.

The case was heard in front of a U.S.District Judge, there has not been a ruling made yet. In the mean time Sanduslky’s criminal trial for 52 counts related to child sex abuse begins two weeks from tomorrow.

The saga surrounding Penn State, Jerry Sandusky and The Second Mile will be made into a movie.

A&E Network's "Indie Films" has partnered with Asylum Entertainment to make the feature documentary, "Happy Valley".

The drama will tell the story of how the Penn State community reacted in the wake of child abuse charges being filed against Sandusky.

The president of Asylum Entertainment served as a camp counselor for The Second Mile, which is a non-profit founded by Sandusky.  He says the project has significant personal meaning to him.

June 5, that is when this trial will happen. The judge denied the defense's latest request for a delay.

Jerry Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola, argued for the delay May 9, saying he needed more time to prepare a defense and talk to witnesses.

Sandusky faces 52 counts related to child sex abuse of ten boys over a 15-year span.

The former coach has repeatedly denied the charges.

Also Monday, the judge ordered prosecutors to turn over evidence of anything discovered since the initial charges were filed in November.

It must be handed over to Amendola by May 30. The same deadline was given to Amendola, he was ordered to turn over reports by experts they plan to use or cite at trial.

The judge also responded to the grand jury materials request by declining to get involved.

A Pennsylvania judge rejected a second request today to delay the child sex-abuse case of former Penn State University football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, setting the stage for jury selection in the criminal trial to begin June 5, USA TODAY's Kevin Johnson reports.

Judge John Cleland, in Bellefonte, issued the order without explanation, rejecting the request from Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola, who had asked for more time to prepare his client's defense against 52 counts of alleged child sex abuse, Johnson reports.
