I was checking out the Humane League of Lancaster one Sunday, when I walked into the cat coloney there was this cat just bawling and bawling.  The staff kept telling him to be quiet.  So I went home and thought about him.  The next day I went back and asked to get him out of this cage and go to a visiting room. I went home and discussed the cat Charis with my husband and we decided to adopt him.  I changed his name to Johnny Mercer.  He is such a loving cat and beautiful cat.  Right after we adopted Johnny, my husband was hit by a car while riding his bicycle to work, so Johnny stayed by his side while he recovered.
